Nidhi: Why do game developers need leading organization? On which issues and areas do you focus? Praveen Kumar: The leading organization serves to unite the international game development community and serve as its voice on issues of debate. These organizations advocate on both internal (such as- quality of life, diversity, credits, etc.) and external (like-censorship, education, etc.) topics. Games are important and the leading organizations are here to help game developers, and the industry, succeed in the long run.
Nidhi: Is the organization primarily made up of individual programmers who join on their own accord, or do entire companies become members? Praveen Kumar: Our company’s members are individual game developers: programmers, artists, designers, producers, musicians, cartoonists, etc. Some studios do pay for memberships for their entire staff via our affiliation program, but the studio itself is not a member.
Nidhi: How important are the local companies and special interest sector? Praveen Kumar: The our company focuses a great on building community. Local Media Centre and Angel studios are the two main "tools" we use to connect developers. In essence, a Local Media Centre is a developer community based around geographic proximity (e.g., Mumbai, Montreal, Tokyo, London), and the Angel studios is a developer community based around a topic of interest (e.g., AI, writing, QA, etc.). To many members, their local Media Centre is the face of the Angels Vision Technologies.
Nidhi: What do you think about animation Colleges in India? Praveen Kumar: Many animation Colleges in India now offer a lot in store for each individual with its quality services of 24x7 studio lab facility, superior infrastructure with cutting edge technology labs facility, updated software and applications, well experienced career counselors who spend ample time to understand the needs and requirements of each individuals and suggest them the right kind of course combination. The animation boom is cascading throughout India's entertainment industry. One offshoot has been the rise of computer-game outsourcing.
Nidhi: Animation has evolved as one of the fastest growing and most in-demand industries in the world today. Now in India how we are prepare the school level education for this type of industry requirement? Praveen Kumar: Educationists and Indian Govt. should focus on this type of issue. In addition to it educational institutes must also support this type of concept to implement in school level education at class 10th and 10+2 in India. Because in India there is a shortage of skilled animators.
